Common questions

What families usually want to know before they commit.

Practical answers to the questions that come up early in the breeder conversation.

How do we reserve a puppy?

We start with a conversation to confirm fit. Once we agree on a puppy, a reservation fee holds your placement and we outline next steps in writing. The fee is applied toward the total placement price.

When can puppies go home?

Most puppies leave between 8 and 10 weeks after a veterinary check, age-appropriate vaccines, and a confident start with eating, handling, and crate exposure. We will not send a puppy home before it is ready.

Can we visit before deciding?

Yes, by appointment. We also offer video calls for long-distance families so you can meet the puppy, ask questions, and review next steps with us before committing.

What is included with each puppy?

Families receive complete vet records, a written one-year health guarantee, starter food, comfort items, transition notes, and ongoing breeder support after pickup or delivery.

Do you offer delivery?

Yes. We coordinate ground transport and flight nanny options depending on your location. Every delivery is planned around the puppy's comfort and safety, with records and supplies prepared in advance.

What kind of support do you provide after pickup?

We stay available for feeding questions, training guidance, crate routine adjustments, and general wellness check-ins. Our relationship with families does not end when the puppy leaves.

Are the puppies health tested?

Puppies receive a veterinary wellness exam before placement. Our breeding dogs are evaluated for cardiac health, structure, and temperament. Written health guarantee terms are provided with every puppy.

What if we can no longer keep our dog?

Contact us first. Our agreement requires that families reach out to Elite Canine Legacy before rehoming. We help coordinate safe placement and protect the dog.
